About Us

Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation was incorporated in 1994 to provide and operate housing accommodations and recreational facilities primarily for persons of low or modest income at rental rates below current market rates for our city. Barrie Housing’s portfolio consists of 964 units, comprised of 202 townhomes and 762 apartments that vary from 1-4 bedroom.

The Beyond Homes Foundation was created from a simple understanding: housing is the beginning, not the end, of building strong communities. While a safe and affordable home provides the foundation, people also need opportunities to connect, access support, develop new skills, and feel a sense of belonging.
Through partnerships, community programs, and the generosity of our supporters, Beyond Homes helps address the needs that extend beyond housing. From food security initiatives and youth leadership opportunities to community-building activities, we are working to create stronger, healthier communities where residents can thrive.
