Job Description:
Balanced Life Therapy is seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist or Social Worker to join our team. As a Psychotherapist/Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate should have a minimum 2 years experience in the field, be registered and in good standing with CRPO or OCSWSSW, possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and a commitment to helping individuals improve their overall well-being.
```Responsibilities```
Operate in line with/adhere to our workplace values which are: caring, dignity and respect, learning and reflection, commitment to quality care and support.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and/or groups.
Opportunities to offer new services of expertise.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
Offer Virtual and In-person appointments.
Provide a flexible schedule including day time availability and minimum two evenings and some Sunday’s.
Weekly contributions to our Social Media platforms.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Attend Peer Supervision on a bi-weekly basis for professional development.
Attend Clinical Supervision once every 8 weeks with our registered Psychologist.
Stay current with current research and best practices in the field of psychotherapy.
Actively participate in team meetings, clinical & group supervision and contribute to the development of the therapeutic program.
Opportunities to develop, grow and lead workshops/groups/events etc.
```Skills```
Case management: Ability to effectively manage and coordinate the care of multiple clients.
Data collection: Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to patient outcomes.
Patient care: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients of diverse backgrounds.
Research: Familiarity with research methods and the ability to stay updated on current trends and best practices in social work.
Experience with Jane Scheduler, Google Workspace, Canva and social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
```Qualifications```
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Masters of Social Work (MSW,) or a Registered Psychotherapist (RP).
Full Registration is required with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or CRPO status.
Minimum 2 years clinical experience in providing psychotherapy to diverse populations.
Strong knowledge of various therapeutic evidence-based modalities and interventions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and a genuine desire to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
