Time to kick up your heels!
The Grand Parade arrives in Barrie on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, and we want YOU to get involved!
CFS Counselling + Wellbeing (CFS) is ramping up to host The Grand Parade, a 2 km or 5 km fundraising walk, in support of our MatureMinds program, which celebrates and empowers older adults in our community.
The Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. on Sept. 19th at Barrie’s Parkview Community Centre. There will be snacks, refreshments, a hype team, and an opportunity to connect with others in your community. The walk is family-friendly and open to all who want to participate. (All humans anyway - unfortunately, our insurance folks say our furry friends have to skip this event, as dogs are not permitted on the walk.)
We are looking for outgoing team leaders who can spread the word and encourage their friends, colleagues and family members to participate. We are also looking for volunteers, walkers, and donations to help us reach our $22,000 fundraising goal!
We also welcome those among our business community to support this event with a sponsorship in addition to entering a team. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our already-confirmed rest-stop sponsors Home Instead & COMPHYSIO+, and our media sponsors: Rock 95, 107.5 Kool FM, Barrie 360, and Barrie Today!
