Description
At the beginning of 2021, Joanne Lougheed and Ian McIntosh decided to help business owners and people from other organizations build the knowledge, skills, confidence and experience they need to create great quality videos. Together, they have created hands-on, interactive workshops and courses that guide participants through the steps to Start Making Videos that engage their target audience. In our Start Making Videos Hands-On Workshop, Ian McIntosh and Joanne Lougheed will help you create your own great quality videos using your smartphone or video camera and a few inexpensive accessories. Video is the best way to tell your story! They'll guide you through the simple steps of making great quality videos that you can share on social media, your website, and other digital platforms. In this fun and interactive workshop, they'll walk you step by step through the basics of making videos. You’ll record and edit a video using just your smartphone or any camera that you have.
Ian and Joanne will stay for a few minutes at the end of the workshop to answer questions that you have. |
Ian McIntosh, IGM Photo & VideoIan is a professional photographer/videographer from Barrie, ON. He loves creating images and videos of the world around him that tell stories. He also loves teaching. Over the past few years, Ian has taught numerous workshops that help people learn how to create better quality images and has been teaching how to create videos using just a smartphone in the “Smartphone Video Made Simple” workshop. Ian brings a depth of knowledge and experience to Start Making Videos that will help business owners create their own high quality videos. |
Joanne Lougheed, Flourish Vitality CentreJoanne has loved photography since her teens, but she started making videos in front of the camera, not behind it! Joanne became certified to teach yoga in 2001 and has been teaching locally and internationally for nearly 20 years. When COVID hit and she could no longer teach in person classes, she and Ian quickly created a video set at their yoga studio and took many of the studio’s classes online, offering both live and recorded classes. Joanne loves to teach, and was a trainer for most of her 30+ year career in the hospitality industry. She returned to school as a mature student to earn a B.A. in Education and a Specialized Honours Degree with a focus on Developmental and Educational Psychology, and she has several years experience teaching at the primary school level. When she’s not collaborating with Ian, co-teaching and creating course content and lesson plans, you can usually find her doing something crafty and making videos for her crochet and craft vlog! |
