Over the past year, companies very quickly made the change to a remote workforce. While we initially thought this would be a short term situation, working remotely has become the current normal, and businesses need a reliable recruiting process and solid training techniques to properly prepare their employees. In this workshop, we will focus on getting back to the basics of recruiting and how to build your foundation before you even talk to the first potential candidate.
Our specialists will discuss how to pivot to recruiting remotely and why behaviour-based interview techniques are more important than ever. You will learn how to apply the interview techniques in today's reality and also learn some tips and tricks on the best recruiting platforms.

Sharon Foster, Executive Online Solutions
Sharon has a BA (Honours) in History from Queen's University in Kingston. After graduating from Queen's, she worked as an Executive Assistant, supporting executives in various industries including television, banking, international sales, construction, medical offices, and a County Library system. Sharon was also a licensed Real Estate salesperson for 3 years. Each of these industries taught her its own unique challenges and knowledge.
In November 2009, Sharon decided she needed a change, and established her Virtual Assistant business. At that time, she had worked for over 25 years in an office environment, but with young children Sharon wanted to stay at home and set her own hours rather than commute and leave the kids in daycare. Sharon took Donna Douglas’ course “Go Venture”, which helped her launch the business. She loved the flexibility of having her own business and helping her clients grow theirs. Sharon has become more and more familiar with the online world, and is always eager to learn new skills, processes and systems. Over the years, she has acquired other Virtual Assistant industry qualifications, including Bookkeeping and Online Business Management.
In the “non-virtual world”, Sharon excelled at organization of office systems, and making things run smoothly. Her goal always has been to increase productivity by setting up systems and procedures. She loves the challenge of solving problems.
Sharon moved to Barrie to escape the rat race that is Toronto in January 2000, and she has happily lived here since. Both her kids are now grown up, and her youngest is ready to leave for Waterloo in the Fall, so her and her husband will be empty nesters
