Ron often looks off the page for new ideas and strategies. One of the things that he’s good at is producing live video and events by applying technology, not for technology’s sake, but for the sake of serving employees, customers, shareholders, and the community. More than half of his lifetime has been spent in this pursuit, having run a corporate production and technical services company that counted Canada’s largest corporation among its customers. His new initiative, ETRdotTV, brings together select experts and expertise to serve the interests of independent business. Ron is the producer of Singles Night.

Wayne Frazer, Doug Laurie Sports

Wayne is the “Farmer’s Insurance” of his business – he knows a lot because he’s seen a lot in more than 35 years in the business of trading cards and collectibles. He is owner of Doug Laurie Sports in Barrie’s Kozlov Centre. Wayne is well along the journey to transform a small memorabilia store into a regional centre piece for the growing hobby that encompasses cards and collectibles. With all of the pandemic lockdowns, it was a matter of necessity to find ways to keep the business viable even though nobody was coming into the store. One of those ways was a monthly TV show and informal auction called Singles Night.
