Sandy Calvert, Empower Simcoe

Sandy is a graduate of Georgian College in Developmental Services her professional experience includes over thirty years in the Social Service Sector, 15 years Employment Services in a variety of roles including Job Development, Employment Coaching, facilitating adult education courses and program coordination.

As an Employment Services Coordinator, Sandy is passionate about inclusive employment, understanding the importance of connecting the right person to the right job. Building creative partnerships with the business community as a tool to increase employment and learning opportunities for people with disabilities.

Sandy’s goal is to help break down barriers and create a diverse workforce where individualized gifts and talents can shine.

Sandy has been a long time resident of Barrie, she loves cooking for family, friends and making special treats for her grandkids

Diane Uram, Empower Simcoe

Diane has been employed with Empower Simcoe for the past 27 years where she is currently an Employment Support and Services Coordinator. Working with individuals, families, business and government partners, Diane supports and navigates the world of employment for her clients following a client centered approach. She has developed relationships with more than 60 community partner connections and continues to seek connections to assist in employment matches. Throughout her career she has contributed to Employment Inclusion in a variety of roles including job coaching, job development, program coordination, facilitation, and leadership.

Diane lives in the small community of Wyevale, where she enjoys being active, spending time with nature, taking new adventures and spending time with family and friends.
