Michele Newton, Owner
Konvo Media Inc.
Stories and growing relationships are at the soul of everything I'm passionate about. A creative writer from an early age, I've leveraged into a succesful career that I love. Working with many different brands and organizations over the years, I've found that thoughtful and compelling storytelling is at the heart of it all. My approach has regularly garnered media interviews and coverage from CTV-2, CBC, Torstar/Metroland, Corus, ROGERS tv and numerous other broadcast and print media outlets.
A Public Relations and Corporate Communications graduate of Ryerson University, I also hold an MBA in Project Management from Athabasca University. I'm guided by what I like to call my "better together" philosophy around growing relationships, nurturing collaborations and facilitating partnerships, especially those with a shared focus on strengthening our community. As the creator of Our Mosaic Lives, a digital project exploring diversity and inclusion, I've had many opportunities to speak about my journey including on CBC's Ontario Morning and Fresh Air, at a University of Toronto international conference, in area elementary and high schools, and at Georgian College. To spark broad community interest and foster conversations around inclusion and diversity, I curated an Our Mosaic Lives photo exhibit Celebrating Black Canadian Women and Girls displayed across Simcoe County, launched Community Conversations - a quarterly live interview series, and co-founded Making Change- an ad-hoc community organization focused on initiatives around Black History Month.
