Description
HOST: This month's BA5 event location is Bullseye Axe Throwing. It’s hard to hold an axe without getting the urge to watch it spin through the air and sink its blade into wood. At Bullseye Axe Throwing, people can indulge in that instinct. There, at a safe target range, visitors get in touch with their primitive selves, taking axe in hand and propelling it towards real tree stumps. Their crew of coaches and axe-aficionados are so dedicated to the sport that they’ve even put together an axe throwing league. Their leagues are a community of friends and competitors that meet to throw axes on a weekly basis.
CHARITY PARTNER: Hockey Helps the Homeless is the Barrie chapter of a national charity that leverages Canada's affinity for hockey to raise awareness and financial support for the homeless through education, fundraising, and partnering with solutions-based LOCAL homeless support agencies. HHTH Barrie currently supports The David Busby Street Centre and transitional housing provider, Redwood Park Communities.
