DESCRIPTION:Tread Lightly & Embrace Active Transportation in June! \n\n\nBike Month\, which runs from June 1 to June 30\, is a province-wide celebration of cycling.  To celebrate\, Living Green Barrie and Firebird Community Cycle are teaming up  once again to present the second annual Bike Poker\n\nRide in June.\n\n \n\n\nThis family-friendly ride invites participants to discover Barrie by bike\, embracing sustainable transportation while supporting local businesses and community non-profits.\n\n \n\nCyclists will pedal around the city in teams of up to 4\, or as a family and visit local businesses to collect playing cards.  The ride is self-directed (a list of stops will be provided) and takes place on city streets\, so riders need to be comfortable riding with traffic on city streets.  Teams will meet for the post-ride celebration where we'll crown our champions and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow riders!\n\n \n\nPrizes will be awarded for the best poker hand and for those who love to push the pedal to the metal\, we'll be recognizing the rider or team who visit the most locations throughout the day\, best team name and much more!\n\n \n\nThis self-directed and family-friendly event welcomes all 2-wheeled enthusiasts\, including bikes\, pedal e-bikes and e-scooters.
